Extensive research, acquisition of third-party funding and management of superintendence in the areas of supervision research (DFG), dream research (VW Foundation), pregnancy research (Breuninger Stiftung) and long-term study of developmental psychology (research funding from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia). Currently: Head of the Research Cluster “Depression” (research funding p.p.).

1989 habilitation and private lecturer at the Free University of Berlin. 1993-2013 Professor of Psychology at the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda. Since then Head of research at the Berlin Institute for Applied Social Sciences (BIAS).
Teaching and research on methods and techniques of social research, health systems, groups and organizations, leadership styles, psychotherapy and supervision, political psychology as well as identity and culture. Numerous publications on supervision, psychotherapy, research methods, clinical psychology, trauma and culture.
Education, further training and continuing education as a lecturer, supervisor and teaching therapist in psychotherapy at the Rhein-Eifel-Institute, Andernach at the Frankfurt Psychoanalytical Institute and at the Shanghai Mental Health Center, Shanghai / PR China.
Clinical practice as a clinical psychologist and psychological psychotherapist at the Municipal Clinics Offenbach, at the University Hospital Frankfurt, Center of Psychiatry and in own practice.
